During our first visit, the client, a young accountant, showed us two adjacent buildings, each with two floors plus a ground floor. Despite being built at different times, no effort had been made to harmonize their appearance. One building houses the accountant’s office on the ground floor, his parents’ flat on the first floor, and two student flats on the second floor. The other building contains the psychologist’s office of the accountant’s wife on the ground floor and the accountant’s home on the first and second floors. Surrounding these buildings is a large piece of land, partially used for private and public parking, with the remainder awaiting development.
The client sought our expertise to improve the entire property aesthetically and logistically, with a specific focus on enhancing the outdoor areas.
MASTER PLAN |
– Logistics and parking | We created a comprehensive master plan to address logistics, parking, and green spaces. This included designated access and exit zones, a private covered parking area for residents, and an uncovered parking area with an electric charging station for electric cars. These areas were designed to facilitate easy access to the residences, especially in inclement weather. Additionally, we designed a public parking area for the accountant’s and psychologist’s clients, located conveniently close to the commercial spaces while maintaining privacy for the residential areas.
– Outdoor areas | We transformed the remaining land into an evergreen oasis featuring a square swimming pool with a solarium and outdoor shower, ideal for the region’s sunny climate. We also created a secure, equipped garden for the client’s two daughters, complete with a playground. Adjacent to this is a fully glazed outbuilding for summer BBQs and winter dinners, a large terrace, a roof garden atop the garage, and a spacious orchard. These enhancements provided the plot with diverse and practical functions.
FACADE RENOVATION |
– Standardization and aesthetic harmony | We unified the appearance of the two buildings with a cohesive color scheme and matching window frames.
– Corten elements | To create visual dialogue between the buildings, we incorporated corten elements such as visors and partitions on all four sides of each building.
– Wind shielding | For the clients’ building, we installed a system of corten sunshades and partitions to shield the windy entrance, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

This comprehensive renovation project has significantly improved both the aesthetic and functional aspects of the PR residence, making it a cohesive and attractive property.
