Analysis
Current state
We were contacted by the clients during the early construction phase of the store. We quickly conducted an on-site visit and created the project. The space, though not very large, is strategically located in the commercial area of Choeng Thale in Phuket. The store is spread over two equal floors. Large ground-floor windows provide access to the store, while the upper-floor windows serve as display showcases. The façade features architectural decorative elements in a classic Renaissance style.

The client’s request was to have a third store in Phuket that stood out from the existing ones. They wanted a store that would house high-end, multi-brand beachwear.

Solutions
While hoping the clients would change the classic façade, we designed the interior to be a subtle companion that optimally showcased the products. We chose a simple concept that blended with the location: sand, sea waves, and slow living were the keywords for the mood board development. We studied retail design, its rules, and the best ways to make the design commercially aligned with user experience needs. The result is a delicate and elegant project. Curved lines forming furniture and displays resemble sea waves. The sand-colored walls and delicate floor veining mimic sand movements. The gentle interior allows the vibrant colors of the swimwear to stand out.
Ground Floor: Dedicated to women’s beachwear, it features circular silk dressing rooms that can be fully opened, creating soft installations that continuously change the space’s appearance. Every centimeter of the store is used effectively. There is also a well-maintained staff bathroom, a hidden storage area for the cash register, and a staircase leading to the men’s section upstairs.
Upper Floor: This area hosts a spacious display room, a dressing room, and a convenient staff-only storage area for stock.
This project demonstrates our ability to blend functionality with elegance, creating a retail space that is both aesthetically pleasing and commercially effective. Our Italian touch excels in delivering sophisticated designs that meet clients' needs while enhancing user experience.
